As a Neighbourhood for the London Festival of Architecture 2024, the London Borough of Brent will be showcasing the creative potential of the Ealing Road and Alperton (ERA) Creative Enterprise Zone (CEZ), one of twelve across London. CEZs are a Mayoral initiative where areas are supported to nurture and grow creative talent. The ERA CEZ builds upon the success of the thriving South Asian fashion and jewellery scene in Ealing Road, paired with the redevelopment of nearby Alperton, the second largest growth area in Brent.
At the heart of the CEZ programme lies a profound commitment to redefine the narrative around regeneration. Sustainable and thriving cities need to be reflective of their local communities and our participation as a Neighbourhood for LFA2024 will present the perfect opportunity for people from both Brent and wider London to question, re-imagine and redefine the very essence of how we can build inclusive, prosperous, and creative neighbourhoods.
