Arch Activation: Greening the Low Line

20 June 2024

17:00 -18:00

A walking tour which will weave along the mighty Victorian arches in London Bridge and Bermondsey to discover some of the urban greening initiatives and creative uses that inhabit these unique spaces.
Beginning on Holyrood Street and taking approximately 1 hour, the tour will span diverse neighbourhoods to look at some of the exciting initiatives – both conceptual and actual interventions – along the Low Line which hold local community and nature at their heart.
The tour will start at Macfarlane + Associates offices on Holyrood Street, aiming to pass through Gibbons Rent, Druid Street, Maltby Street market and conclude with refreshments in the garden at Macfarlane + Associates (weather dependent), where a short presentation will illustrate further regeneration opportunities in the wider area.
