ArchReach's Design Thinking Workshop aims to empower 10 - 16 year olds with the tools for a human-centred approach to design. It is hosted at the London School of Architecture's Dalston Pavilion. By the end of the workshop, students will have a better understanding of the non-linear, iterative process of design thinking, and its various applications from improving experiences to product innovation. Students will have the opportunity to unleash creativity and demonstrate mental agility as they use the design thinking methodology to ideate on a set of briefs. This will require lateral thinking, goal-oriented teamwork, and an openness to critique from the users' perspective. Design thinking has endless applications to disciplines not just within the built environment, and by understanding the principles students will gain a perspective based method to understanding our world.
