Join us in remaking history on Somers Town's walls - literally. Building on our research into the contested visions of the urban space that collide in this one neighbourhood, we will work with artists and together co-create a mural on hoardings at the Story Garden behind the British Library on Saturday mornings in June.
Honouring the original Somers Town Mural by Karen Gregory and 1930s public housing artworks by the sculptor Gilbert Bayes, we will ideate and collaborate on a new vision of how communities can make use of urban space in an embattled part of London in light of the St Pancras Housing Society centenary year and our forthcoming 'Art in Everyday Life' Heritage Trail.
Paint provided - please wear overalls as messy!
Dates: Saturday 01 June, Saturday 08 June, Saturday 22 June, Saturday 29 June
