Blue; Beyond the Horizon

24 June - 30 June

13:00 -19:00

Blue; Beyond the Horizon is an immersive art installation.

It draws on the term “blue planet”, to investigate the themes of consumption of urban spaces, dusky, buried and poisoned landscapes, alchemy, zombie infrastructures and the immaterial, spiritual nature of genesis of commons. Inherent to this theme is looking differently at methods for responding to the climate emergency and the sense of what environment means today. The installation empathises with the world by recreating its blue light.

The installation is made of bespoke artefacts, ceramics, recycled, discarded or unrealised building models of different scales, landscaping materials and forms that all compose a fantastic landscape. Blue; Beyond the Horizon will be immersing the public in a blue-toned palette, here imagined to be embodied by the city of London itself.

This is an immersive installation suitable for the general public, particularly for the those who want to experience an alternative aspect of architectural practice and reimagine how our city can become a more sustainable, equitable and collaborative place.
