Connecting People and Places: an exhibition mini-trail

You're invited to explore a trio of thought-provoking exhibitions, along a lesser-known pedestrian route between Wood Green and Alexandra Palace. Exhibition trail across 3 sites.

1. Explore the work that John Dewey Specialist College (JDSC) students, Alexandra Palace's Young Creatives Network and artists have collaborated on, exploring themes of moving through the world with a disability. JDSC caters for young adults with severe, complex, or profound learning difficulties and physical disabilities.

2. Leading on from the junction between Coburg Road and Western Road lies Penstock Tunnel, a key route between Wood Green, Hornsey and Alexandra Park. Built as part of the construction of the Great North Eastern Railway line leading out of London from Kings Cross Station, the tunnel is undergoing extensive refurbishment to provide an improved and safer experience for pedestrians and cyclists. Visitors can learn about the scheme designed by We Made That, which includes public art by artist Emma Smith in collaboration with local residents.

3. And at the SE corner of Alexandra Park, audiences can learn about Creative Learning projects - discussions have focussed on conservation, community, biodiversity, and water management as well as future use of the site's former community use building and more widely the Hornsey Reservoirs.
