Explore a brand new body of work reimagining the transitory space surrounding WilkinsonEyre's 2022 LSBU Hub.
'An exhibition of liminal works' documents an ongoing research project investigating the potential of performance in uncovering the social and cultural narratives embedded within our built environment.
On display will be a series of process drawings cataloguing movements and choreographies developed through the research, a brand-new series of photographs documenting the dancers' creative methodology, and a set of speculative works produced by LSBU's MArch Studio 03 students.
The event is part of a broader interdisciplinary project focussed on the contrast between the planned use of space and the emergent behaviours that arise once inhabited - the gap between ‘should’ and ‘would’.
Running throughout the week, the exhibition culminates in two further LFA events: an interactive re-performance led by two professional dancers and a panel discussion delving into the academic side of the research.
