This guided walk has been designed to incorporate the reimagine theme, by going on a journey through time to view this rich area when it was once swampy fields, through to celebrating some of Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia’s iconic buildings, magnificent green open air spaces and ways of life. This will be a one mile walk taking 90 minutes, along a flat route.
The walk will explore the history of this area, immediately to the north of Holborn. We introduce the characters responsible for its creation and development, and how these same open spaces have evolved over the years. We will sprinkle in some stories from my experiences from when I was a Bobby on the Beat in this area fifty years ago.
We will discover how the whole area has been reimagined from the past to the present, and think about what is in store fort the future.
