The Linnean Society is celebrating its 150th year in its purpose-built premises at Burlington House. Established in 1788, the Society is the oldest active Society dedicated to natural history. Today we aim to create a world in which nature is understood, valued and protected.
Join us for an open evening at the Society on 28 June. Our bookable 75-minute slots at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm include a tour of the building and a chance to view our Exhibition 'Lovely as a Tree' with a drink in our beautiful library.
We have recently agreed a 999-year lease of our building, allowing us to invest in the sustainability and accessibility of our spaces. So we will also be inviting you to help us imagine the future of the Society.
