Discover Play Place: an installation for families and children that inspires collaborative, creative play with inclusive urban design. Created by Delve Architects and Plaey Workshop, in partnership with Heart of London Business Alliance, Westminster City Council and London Festival of Architecture, sponsored by Dragon Smoke Construction, this supersized, colourful shape-sorting puzzle provides a unique play area for little ones to discover in Leicester Square Gardens.
Through the LFA theme of ‘Reimagine’, Play Place asks how can we reintegrate play into our cities? The eye-catching play area, in the Heart of London, is the latest installation from Art of London and is also a call to action for developers and policy makers to consider the next generation and the positive impact design can have on a child’s development.
Join us in embracing the true essence of play and let’s spark a conversation on how urban spaces can be re-claimed for children with their physical and mental health in mind.
