The North-Bound Collective's brick bench explores the profound intersection of architecture, landscape architecture, building principles, and structural engineering.
Inspired by circular economy principles, The Flow Bench transforms the traditional role of a bench in the community. The bench is a tribute to the river’s history, a storytelling hub, re-connecting people with the Royal Docks as a symbol of innovation and sustainability in our ever-changing world through both its materiality and ethos.
Developed with a participatory design activity, North-Bound Collective's bench has been shaped alongside residents of the Royal Docks.
The Flow Bench is supported by HFM Architects, justfacades and Michelmersh.
