Wood Green Placemaking Walking Tour

08 June 2024

14:30 -16:30

Wood Green is the heart of Haringey, drawing in people from across the borough and beyond to shop, work and have fun.

In partnership with the community, Haringey Council has created a vision for the future of Wood Green called ‘Shaping Wood Green’ which is underpinned by a series of six themes for improvement, and five placemaking areas of transformation. Shaping Wood Green sets out the Wood Green that the Council is committed to creating, in collaboration with the community and partners in the years ahead.

Join us to explore Wood Green and see how we are reimaging our places and spaces. Together with Jan Kattein Architects, Jonathan Hagos from Freehaus, artists Anna Nicolò and Mat Dosa, we will guide you around recently completed placemaking projects in Wood Green town centre, featuring the award-winning, co-designed Rising Green Youth Hub by Freehaus; Roj Cafe by Jan Kattein Architects; and co-designed murals and pocket parks by Muf and Jan Kattein Architects.

The tour will start at Noel Park parklet and will finish at Café Roj in Ducketts Common.
